In data network :sharing data through the use of floppy disks is not an efficient or cost effictive manner. in business needed a solution that would succesfully address there are three problem  the one, is how to avoid duplication of equipment and resources two,how to communicate efficiently,three, on how to set up and manage a network.business realized that networking technology could increase productivity while saving money @ time.

there are two classification in networking:

End- user Devices - including computers,printers,scanners,@ other devices that provide service directly to the user.
Network Devices -include all the devices that connect the end user device together to allow them to communicate.

the five part of  topology:

Bus Topology - using single backbone cable that is terminated at both ends.

Ring Topology - connect one host to the next  host and the last host to the first
